Mahakal Wallpaper is a devotional wallpaper app. This policy explains what information the app handles, what stays on your device, and what our advertising partners may process. In short: we do not ask for, collect, or store any personal information on our servers. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no user database.

1. Information we do NOT collect

No account or registration — the app never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identity information.
No precise location, contacts, photos, files, microphone, or camera access.
We (the developer) operate no server that receives any data about you.

2. Information stored only on your device

The following is saved in the app's private storage on your phone and never leaves it. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Your settings — language, theme, notification time, auto-wallpaper preferences.
Your favourites and download history.
A name you may type into the optional "Naam Card" feature. It is used only to draw the image on your screen and is stored nowhere else.
Wallpapers you download are saved to your phone's gallery at your request.

3. Internet use

The app connects to the internet to download wallpaper images, to fetch the updated wallpaper catalogue, to fetch remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config), and to load advertisements.

4. Advertising and third-party services

The app shows ads through Google AdMob, with mediation partners Meta Audience Network and Liftoff Monetize. It also uses Firebase Remote Config (Google) to control app behaviour remotely. These services are operated by third parties and may automatically process the following data to serve and measure ads:

Advertising ID (a resettable identifier provided by Android)
IP address and coarse (city-level) location derived from it
Device information — model, OS version, screen size, language
Ad interaction data — impressions, clicks

We do not receive or store this data ourselves. How each partner handles it is described in their own policies:

5. Your choices and consent

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland the app shows a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before any ads load. You can decline personalised ads there.
Anywhere: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, which stops ad partners from linking new activity to past activity.
Notifications are optional and can be turned off any time in the app or in Android settings.

6. App permissions

Permission	Why the app needs it
Internet	Download wallpapers, catalogue updates and ads.
Set wallpaper	Apply the wallpaper you choose (and the optional automatic wallpaper change).
Notifications	The optional daily darshan reminder you enable yourself.
Save to gallery	Save wallpapers you download. The app cannot read your existing photos.

7. Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Ad content is requested in a non-child-directed manner.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because everything the app stores lives on your device, deleting the app's data or uninstalling the app removes it completely. Data processed by the advertising partners listed above is retained according to their policies; use the Advertising ID controls in Section 5 to limit it.

9. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change ships.
